Pengirim pesan instan atau pengolahpesan cepat (biasanya disebut dengan IM atau Instant Messenger) merupakan perangkat lunak yang memfasilitasi pengiriman pesan singkat (instant messaging), suatu bentuk komunikasi secara langsung antara dua orang atau lebih menggunakan teks yang diketik. Teks dikirim melalui komputer yang terhubung melalui sebuah jaringan, misalnya Internet. Setelah penggunaan surel (email) yang mengubah cara orang berkomunikasi dari cara konvensional untuk mengirimkan surat, teknologi pengiriman pesan singkat (instant messaging) diciptakan untuk menutupi kelemahan surel yang kadang-kadang kurang cepat dan tidak waktu nyata (real-time).

Sejarah

Perkembangan pengirim pesan instan berbasis GUI diawali ketika mulai maraknya orang menggunakan teknologi secara daring pada awal tahun 1990 ketika banyak orang mulai meluangkan waktu untuk mengakses Internet. E-mail merupakan perkembangan komunikasi internet yang berkembang pesat pada saat itu, namun seiring dengan bertambahnya kebutuhan, e-mail dirasakan kurang cepat dalam mengirimkan pesan dan tidak dapat diketahui apakah orang yang dikirimi pesan melalui e-mail juga sedang daring dan membalas pesan secara cepat. Kebutuhan tersebut mendorong para pengembang perangkat lunak menciptakan sebuah program chat room, di mana suatu grup atau perorangan dapat melihat serta mengirimkan pesan kepada sertiap orang yang ada pada room tersebut. Aplikasi ini dimulai ketika penyedia jasa daring Quantum Link (lebih dikenal dengan nama American Online) menawarkan fitur untuk dapat saling berkirim pesan dengan sesama pengguna komputer yang sedang daring. Penerapan pengiriman pesan instan ini memiliki dasar yang tidak jauh berbeda, yaitu sebuah chat room yang ditujukan untuk dua orang.

Seiring dengan perkembangannya, pengiriman pesan instan ini mulai meledak di Internet pada November 1996 saat Mirabilis memperkenalkan ICQ yang merupakan sebuah program pengirim pesan instan gratis, dan diikuti oleh AOL Instant Messenger (AIM) pada tahun 1997. AOL kemudian mengakuisisi Mirabilis.

Penggunaan pengirim pesan instan kemudian berkembang dari hanya bisa diakses melalui komputer menjadi dapat diakses juga melalui telepon genggam sehinggal memungkinkan para penggunanya mengakses layanan ini kapan saja dan di mana saja.

1. Prepare the Windows Vista DVD installer / installer Windows 7, Flashdisk 3GB/4GB/8GB

2. Next open your command prompt by Start - All Programs - Accesories - Command Prompt. Right-click and select "Run As Administrator".

Difference Between Rar and Zip file

Most of you must be using this two kind of filenames daily, but do you know what is difference between this two extensions, rar and zip.
Little explanation below probably will help you find out between this two extensions

1) Parameter differences:
- “Recovery Record

Many archive formats contain redundant data embedded in the files in order to detect data storage or transmission errors, and the software used to read the archive files contain logic to detect and correct errors.”
RAR has it, ZIP does not mention it.

- “Unicode filenames”
RAR has it, but ZIP does not have it.

What are Dead Pixels?

Modem is a device that is used as intermediaries for the Internet, which connect to the computer from the phone line and then connect the computer to the internet.

Did you know that the speed Internet connection you can increase by changing a few settings in the Windows modem.Although now many software-software to speed up internet connection I think you will not loss to know how to speed up the "manual" as listed below:

First Step

From Control Panel, click the Modem icon.
In the Modem Properties dialog box, select the modem to change settings and click the Properties button
On the General tab, change the Maximum Speed to be 115,200.
Move to the Connection tab and click the Port Settings button.
From the Advanced Port Settings dialog, give the check on the Use FIFO buffers. Then change the Receive Buffer 14 and transmits a buffer to 16. Lalu klik OK. Then click OK.
Click the Advanced button, give the check on the Use Flow Control. Then select the Hardware radio button.In the Extra Settings, content with the & C1 & D2E1Q0V1X4% C0 S7 = 55 S11 = 55 S0 = 0.

Second Step

From Control Panel, click the System icon.
Pindah ke tab Device Manager . Move to Device Manager tab.
On the Ports (COM & LPT), select the port used by your modem and click Properties.
Move to the Port Settings tab.
In the Bits per second, with 921,600 contents.

Third Step

Open the system.ini file located in C: \ Windows, or type SYSEDIT.exe on the run.
In the [386Enh], add the COM1Buffer = 16384. Change the COM1 port used by the modem.

Install Windows XP using USB Flash Disk/ Flash Drive - Step by Step Guide

gua googling.... eh.. langsung nemu... tapi bahasa inggris

If you want to install Windows XP, but your notebook (or PC) has no CDROM, you should install Windows XP using USB Flash disk/Flash Drive/Thumb drive...

just follow this guide :

step 1:

Buy an USB Flash Drive (at least 2GB).

When you do this tutorial, please make sure your computer/laptop/PC has a CD-ROM (or DVD).

so, now you have 2 computers, with CD-ROM support and without CD-ROM support.

step 2:
Download this software pack (Komku-SP-usb.exe - download 1.47MB

click Yes

Wait a few seconds...

Click OK, and you can close PeToUSB window.

step 5:
Open Command Prompt ...

Click Start > Run > type cmd > click OK

On Command Prompt window, go to directory C:\Komku\bootsect\

how to do this?
first type this cd\ and press Enter

then type cd komku\bootsect and press Enter

the result...

Don't close Command Prompt window, and go to step 6...

step 6:
on command prompt window, type bootsect /nt52 H:

H: is drive letter for my USB Flash Drive, it may be different with yours...

and press Enter

the result... "Successfully updated filesystem bootcode. Bootcode was succesfully updated on all targeted volumes."

don't close Command Prompt window, and go to step 7...

step 7:
now type this cd.. and press Enter

then type cd usb_prep8 and press Enter

type usb_prep8 again... and pres Enter

so you type S and press Enter

back to usb_prep8 welcome screen...
now type 3 and press Enter...

"Please give Target USB-Drive Letter e.g type U" Enter Target USB-Drive Letter:
because my Flash drive letter is H
so, type H and press Enter...

after back to usb_prep8 welcome screen...

now type 4 and press Enter to make new temporary image with XP LocalSource and copy it to USB Flash Drive
please wait a few seconds..

type Y and press Enter

when format virtual disk complete, press any key to continue...

"Copy TempDrive Files to USB-Drive in about 15 minutes = Yes OR STOP = End Program = No"
Click Yes, and wait...

press any key again to close usb_prep8...

Now, your USB Flash Drive is ready...

step 9:

Now, insert your USB Flash Drive/Flash Disk/Thumb Drive to your notebook (e.g Acer Aspire One)

go to BIOS and make USB HDD (or USB ZIP in some other machine) as primary boot device....

then boot form your USB Flash Drive....
and select "TXT Mode Setup Windows XP, Never unplug USB-Drive Until After Logon"

After Hard Disk detected, delete all partition, create single partition... and install Windows XP on that partition...

and wait...

once text mode setup is complete, computer will restart....

this time select "GUI Mode setup Windows XP, Continue Setup + Start XP"

Continue Windows XP setup.... and Done!

Windows XP Installed....

Remember, you can use this tutorial to install Windows XP on all other computers.. not just Aspire One and Asus EEE-PC....

by the way, I'm using Windows Vista.
Try use XP... or

use another USB port... My friend tried it on his Lenovo... when he plug in his USB flashdrive on left side of his notebook... PeToUSB didn't find any removable flashdrive... he change it to the right side then it works (XP) :)

I was having the "No USB Disks" error with PeToUSB as well with by Samsung U3 (2G) and my microSD + Reader (4G) on 32-bit Vista. The USBs were all formatted to FAT.

Then I switched to XP, and the USB was detected

I want do this is Vista...

If you're on Windows Vista, try using the "Run as Administrator" function for both formatting the drive and command prompt.

Majelis Ulama Indonesia (MUI) hingga kini belum membicarakan maupun membahas mengenai jejaring sosial, Facebook. Termasuk mendengar rencana ulama di Jawa Timur yang akan memfatwakan Facebook.

“MUI di beberapa rapat pengurus harian belum membicarakan masalah Facebook,”

Menurutnya, apa yang sedang dibahas para ulama di Jawa Timur mengenai Facebook merupakan semacam keprihatinan para ulama karena timbulnya hal-hal di dunia maya.

Secara pribadi, Amidhan menilai situs pertemanan itu tidak melulu berdampak negatif. Dengan catatan, tergantung kepada penggunanya. “Kalau digunakan murni untuk kebaikan, saya kira tidak ada masalah tapi kalau menimbulkan hal-hal tidak baik dan negatif ya harus ditindak,” tuturnya.

Jika nantinya kontroversi mengenai Facebook ini terus mengemuka, lanjutnya, MUI akan membahasnya lebih lanjut. Namun diakuinya, MUI tidak bisa berbuat banyak.

“Kita kembali ke pemerintah untuk membatasi hal-hal negatif itu, MUI hanya bisa mencegah,” pungkasnya.

Ketua Majelis Ulama Indonesia (MUI) Kalimantan Selatan Profesor H Asywadie Syukur Lc, berpendapat facebook, jejaring sosial di dunia maya) bisa haram dan tidak. Mantan Rektor Institut Agama Islam Negeri Antasari Banjarmasin itu berhati-hati dalam mengeluarkan pendapat mengenai facebook.

Guru Besar IAIN Antasari tersebut mengingatkan, tuntutan agama Islam yang antara lain menyatakan segala sesuatu tergantung atau bermula dari niat orang yang bersangkutan. Sebagai contoh, pemanfaatan facebook dalam rangka berkomunikasi guna menggali atau tukar ilmu pengetahuan yang bermanfaat bagi kemaslahatan umat, maka hal itu tidak bisa dibilang haram.
“Hal tersebut sama saja dengan kita memakai sepeda motor. Kalau tujuan baik dan benar, maka tak ada larangan menggunakannya. Sebaliknya bila untuk tujuan negatif atau dimanfaatkan dalam kejahatan, hukum Islam pun tak membolehkan”
“Saya pribadi melihat kedudukan facebook itu haram atau tidak, maka akan dilihat dari segi manfaat dan mudarat. Kalau manfaatnya lebih besar untuk mebajikan atau kemaslahatan umat, maka pemanfaatan facebook bagi kaum muslim boleh-boleh saja. Jika negatif, maka itu haram,” demikian Asywadie Syukur.

Forum Musyawarah Pondok Pesantren Putri (FMP3) se-Jatim yang terdiri dari delegasi santri putri, mengharamkan penggunaan jejaring sosial seperti friendster dan facebook, serta pesan singkat lewat ponsel (SMS) dan 3G (telepon video) yang digunakan secara berlebihan.

Keputusan itu merupakan hasil Bahtsul Masail ke-XI FMP3 di Pondok Pesantren Putri Hidayatul Mubtadien Lirboyo, Kota Kediri, yang dilaksanakan sejak 2 hari lalu.

“Berlebihan itu antara lain, penggunaan yang menjurus pada perbuatan mesum dan yang tidak bermanfaat,” kata Humas FMP3, Nabil Harun

Faktor Berlebihan
Guru besar Fiqih (Hukum Islam) IAIN Sunan Ampel Prof Dr Ahmad Zahro MA memberi catatan terhadap hasil bahtsul masail (semacam simposium) FMP3 yang menyimpulkan facebook haram bila dilakukan berlebihan. “Yang harus digarisbawahi di sini adalah; bila berlebihan. Berlebihan inilah yang diharamkan dan ini berlaku untuk apa saja, tidak hanya facebook,” jelas Ahmad Zahro.
Direktur Pasca Sarjana IAIN Sunan Ampel ini menjelaskan, kegiatan memanfaatkan facebook dalam hukum Islam masuk kategori muamalah (perkara sosial). Hukum asal perkara sosial itu semuanya mubah (boleh), kecuali bila ada dalil dalam Alquran atau sumber hukum lainya yang mengharamkan atau mewajibkan (memerintahkan).

“Di Alquran maupun hadis, facebook jelas tidak ada. Itu berarti hukum asal facebook itu jelas mubah (boleh). Hukum ini bisa berubah menjadi haram, bila muncul ‘ilat (alasan atau sebab) yang mengaharuskannya,” terang Zahro.

Lalu apa ‘ilat yang bisa menjadikannya haram? “Yang diharamkan tadi adalah facebook berlebihan. Ingat, kata berlebihan jangan sampai dihilangkan. Nah di sini, ‘ilat (alasan) hukum yang mengharamkannya adalah madlorot (kerugian) atau mafsadat (kerusakan) yang ditimbulkannya. Ini tidak hanya berlaku pada facebook, tapi semua yang menimbulkan dampak buruk,” tegasnya.
Alumni Universitas Al-Azar Kairo Mesir ini lalu memberikan uraian tentang dampak buruk dimaksud, mengacu pada lima perkara hak dasar manusia yang harus dijamin. Lima hak dasar itu tidak boleh dirusak atau dilanggar orang lain. Terdiri hak hidup, hak berpendapat, hak kehormatan dan reproduksi, hak beragama, dan hak milik atas harta benda. “Kalau kegiatan sudah menyebabkan rusaknya salah satu hak dasar manusia ini, maka perbuatan itu masuk dalam katagori haram,” katanya. Itu berarti untuk facebook dan media komunikasi lainnya, masalahnya tergantung pada pengguna dan cara menggunakannya, apakah untuk merusak atau untuk mendapatkan manfaat.
